one brave whippet....

the hounds are sick of the snow..
they are unable to run really fast and this is just plain not on...
so this morning when they heard me groan that it had in fact snowed yet again overnight, they just could not believe there whippety ears..
so
they gathered together and discussed if they could actually trust the info i had wailed to in fact be true - after all it could all be a trick...
they decided to take a vote as to who to send to check out the snow situation...

ghillie the deerhound lifted his head and suggested that as the largest he should probably stay in and keep his best detective work for when things got *really* bad
other names where suggested ..
badger as he has the longest legs..
talulla as she has the widest tummy that could act as a mini snow plough....

what they in fact decided upon was to send out the smallest and skinniest of the bunch...

miss mabel moo
one brave whippet

she accepted the role as chief snow reporter and started to wade through...
deep snow as she looked left and right ...
and as far as her eyes could see (and being a whippet that is very far indeed)

she was not truly sure how far the committee expected her to go....
after a rather long five minutes she decided that a quarter way across the field was plenty...

she turned round...
confirmed with a good sniff that it had in fact snowed yet again...

posed for a rather sweet snowy picture...

and then hot footed it back in to the relative warmth of the giant shed we call home...

upon her return the others listened intently to her tales of horror that the snow was at best up to her belly, and at worst up to the ponies belly...

they all then decided that the best plan was to demand tasty morsels and retreat back to their duvets for the day...

good plan

xx

  4. Ahh lovely.

My cats are hating the snow, and are running back in and onto the warmest lap, bed or radiator.
