it would seem that we have become entertainment for a certain hen...
one of the rescued free rangers keeps peeping in through the day room window...
she parades up and down the stone sill seemingly fascinated by our comings and goings...
she stops and stares, ponders as to why there is a whippet sitting upon the table looking straight back out at her...
marvelling at how three whippets can remove the stuffing from two sofa cushions at such speed and then sleep soundly amongst the carnage...
watching what we eat and doing a little dance of glee when she realises its not chicken ....
she seems to like us
i do believe we will keep this sweet girl of ours forever..
but just a tiny reminder that we are still looking for lovely, kind homes for our other rescue hens so please think of us if you are about to take on some new girls...

We had 3 ex-battery hens (only one left now after 3 years) and they were always on the window box looking into the living room just like that!! They would also come into the house if the back door is open all the time....we would find them in a bedroom! they make great and fun pets dont they?? and its no nice to see them when there feathers grow back in and they enjoy themselves pecking around like chicken should do.Happy Monday x
