{{ blog every day in May }} day three

a typical day...

open my eyes and spy  little faces...
the very best faces to see..

wellies on, bottles made, walk to work across the yard  ...
the second feeding round of the day begins...

a quickety quick coffee and snack in the sunshine...
*always* friends around to share...

{{ no pictures of in between bits of me cleaning out many animals, hauling water buckets, pushing wheelbarrows, chasing escapee sheep, mending fences and walls, swearing like a fishwife.. }}

late afternoon's i attempt to cram in cleaning the house, hound walks, painting furniture or when the sun is out to play as it was on and off today i pottle about in the garden..

two huge shrubs that had died an ugly death last year finally removed...
  and a peek in to the ting garden shed revealed just where our marsh daisy hens have been laying...

just as the sun starts to dip and the temperature drops it is time to do yet another feed round and start to pop everyone in to their safe overnight sleeping quarters...
these little ones had a busy day following naughty mama's who broke through a fence in to a field with a stream - my heart dropped to my wellies when i spotted these tiny babes teetering at the waters edge even though it is not deep enough for them to drown they would catch a nasty chill :(

and now it is 8pm
my other half is dealing with the pile of today's emails, requests for help etc
and i have a tummy full of homemade vegan curry, a few sewing projects to dabble with and an evening full of trash t.v

a usual day running an animal rescue charity
exhausting!

  1. I don't think I could achieve half as much in a day Tracy; bad enough when faced with 5 hutches to clean!!
