today....


the weather at the moment is pretty awful, rain most days and what feels like every night..
this makes the sheep miserable
this makes the whippets miserable...
this makes me miserable...

so, when there is even a hint of a dry spell i persuade a willing whippet victim to leave the duvet sofa nest and join me on a stroll around the fields..
exercise and fresh air for us both with the extra bonus of being able to check the condition of the outside animals who today have thoroughly enjoyed a drier day and even a hint of sunshine..

    My chooks have taken to standing in their shed and occasionally peeping out to check on the weather, then when there is a brief flash of sunshine, they dash out and scrat and peck while they can.
